The Anvil started life as the All Saints
Tavern- taking it’s name from the nearby Wigan Parish Church,
later becoming “Riley’s Bar” as part of The Grand
Hotel. In 2001, following a full refurbishment, Ian & Donna opened
the doors of the “The Anvil”, since when the varied selection
of resident and guest beers have attracted many a discerning drinker.
The Anvil has earned numerous awards from CAMRA, and is now one of Wigans
most popular venues for those who enjoy real ales.
